Hello everyone! For those of you who would like to get to know me, just keep reading. For those who just want a quick summary, you can find that here. I'm so excited to share my life with you all. Let's start with the basics; I'm Valerie, the creator of this site. I'm 28 years old and I'm a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, and a nurse. So, here's the timeline; In January 2016 I accepted a job offer for a pediatric nurse position. Now lets pause for a moment; back in nursing school I went to clinicals in a pediatric office and thought I could never work in pediatrics. It was horrible seeing the babies cry after getting their shots. Back to reality, it turns out pediatrics was my dream nursing field. You truly can't have a bad day when you see so many happy infants and children. Sure, it can be stressful and busy, but one little smile or laugh and it's all worth it. I married my amazing husband Keith on September 23, 2016 in Newport, Rhode Island. We honeymooned in Aruba and everything about it was amazing; the food, the location, the views, and the weather. In January 2017 I found out I was pregnant at only three weeks. Later, we found out we were expecting a little boy due September 22, 2017, one day before our marriage anniversary. I worked all the way up to 40 weeks pregnant, but when I hit 40 I was more than done, so I started my maternity leave. Finally at 41 weeks exactly, our baby boy decided to make his appearance. Our little love, Christian was born September 29, 2017. We also have two tabby cats, one is gray and named Oreo and the other is orange and named Ginger. Now, before you even think it, no Oreo isn't black and white like the cookie, he's gray. It's a shade! Don't judge! Anyways, that's my little story all about me. I created this site as a way to record my life and share my personal experiences and opinions with the world. I hope you all enjoy it!
